Candy Weight Loss Diet
January 14, 2010 by mbluestone94
Okay ladies, you drive me crazy with your daily emotional candy cravings which you undeniably satisfy; but I have some good news for you. For several days I have contemplated sharing this with you because I would like to think you can live without candy; however some seem incapable of self discipline. My observations have indicated that those who fail to resist and eliminate temptation are those whos husbands “work too much.” FYI making your ass fatter is not going to get him to stay home more, perhaps the opposite will though
Okay here is my secret but before I share the candy weight loss secret with you I recomend you do not abuse it. Deal?
Eat your sweets after a hard workout, imediatly after, and do not over eat. Be sure to count those calories.
Why can you eat your sweets post workout (intense workout)?
Sugar is a simple carbohydrate and simple carbohydrates enter your blood streem quickly while complex carbs require exponentially greater time. Post workout your body is depleted of glycogen and glucose (energy). If you workout with me, you will often find yourself depleted of all energy, trembling to the kids club to retrieve the very person you blame for your increased waistline.
There you go candy craver’s! Reward yourself by satisfying your candy craving immediately after an intense workout only!

Respect the rules Kristi and Angela!
My thoughts are…
Few people will crave chocolate/candy after a workout because their endorphines are already up. Everyone probably has heard that sugar/chocolate stimulates the release of dopamine and endorphins, this makes you feel exhilarated or even decrease stress.
If its truly an emotional craving they will crave the candy when they are, stressed from kids/huband, lonely, or just bored. For me eating it after a workout is not going to prevent me from wanting it at 4:30(my stressfull) time of day or 9pm when kids are in bed and husband is out of town.
Solution – find an alternative way to get your endorphine fix, when your stresed/bored whatever do some floor crawls, wheel barrels, or push ups with your kids before giving into the candy. As an added bonus your kids will use up some of their energy.
Thank you very much maria! You are correct and I appreciate your input. However I suspect there are a few who enjoy the other sweets which don’t release the endorphines
I LOVE this candy eating tip!! I was so excited the day Mike told me I could eat candy!! I thought I would never hear those words! After our workout I went directly home and ate my “serving” of starbursts. They tasted the best they ever had because I wasn’t feeling guilty about eating them. My candy (I only prefer “chewy” candy ie. starbursts, taffy, gummy bears, etc-I do not prefer chocolate) craving isn’t due to stress or emotional needs I just NEED a little sugar (just like my diet coke
a day. Thanks Mike for the advice!
Your welcome Kristi. It hurt me to tell you this because I loose sleep thinking about you eating candy and then hearing you complain about the scale the next day. I hope it works. No guarantees.
Willy Wonka is my “frenemy” (Runts, Nerds Laffy Taffy, Bottlecaps, etc.). And I can’t seem to get out of his clutches for good. Not big on chocolate (that is Byron), but this should help.
I know you want us all to go hard core without these things (and we know we should) but for me it been nearly impossible. If I’m going to eat something junky, candy is it. I can live without beef, fast food, cake and chips. I just can’t seem to do without the sweet/sour junk candy.
I don’t believe I was aware of your candy addiction Gail :-/ Have you been keeping secrets from me?
